Using chopping fist to defend against a horizontal attack to the head and neck

xing yi, Jim Russo, class video, applications

When your opponent swings a weapon at your head and neck area, their hands will cross your and their own centerline prior to the weapons arrival. If you contact the fists you can knock them out and away. Because the hands are the root of the weapon ; a small change in the hands turns into a big change in the weapon causing your opponent to miss your head.
